First [Cabaret 2013]  ACTUAL rehearsal tonight - we've already done all the writing and thrashing out the contents of the show so we're well ahead of ourselves and can now enjoy leisurely learning lines and ignoring the artistic direction of our artistic director. Our musical director was too knackered after the Hailsham Festival of Arts & Culture to pick up his guitar so we didn't tackle any of the numerous songs tonight but we had a hoot reading through the sketches. We are joined by two brand new members of the cast, who have talent, and three returning members from previous years, who have different talents, so our numbers have swelled for this year which should mean the show will be EVEN better than last year. It should be, but we can't make any promises. One thing we can promise is that there will be a 'contains strong language' sticker on the posters. It won't be much worse than previous years, we're just giving people fair warning this time.
